FYI, our spiffy new email services (webmail,POP3 etc.) can also include your own email control panel.
You can add/edit/remove email accounts, aliases .etc from your control panel.

This is completely free and will let you manage all of your email accounts on your own (no more hassling those PepperStation folks… woot woot).

Getting your email admin panel going is extremely fast and it’s very intuitive to use. Shoot us an email or call to have it setup. If you have more than one account or domain with us, we can setup your email control panel to administer all of them (Yay!). I think I have the default #of pop accounts allowed set to something like 100. Of course if you need more (really?) we can change this.

Service interruption

Our apologies on the service interruption that effected Spirit and Recordit earlier. At about 12:13 MST one of our application servers became unresponsive. A replacement server was launched at 12:25 MST which corrected the problem. No other services were effected during this time. Thanks to everyone for your understanding as we worked to get everything resolved.

Recordit 2.0 gets a few enhancements

More enhancements have made their way into Recordit. Including, a ‘group by’ reporting feature and faster exports.

I encourage anyone using a form mailer like formmail.pl with their website to check out Recordit. Using Recordit puts all of your information into a database which you can search, export and have a permanent record of your data. All to often, an email can go missing which could mean you loose out on an important customer contact.

2007 was a busy year for Spirit development. Lots of new features and improvements have been made to Spirit3x.

To highlight just a few:

  • Rename and add new customer checkout fields

A new feature has been released which allows the field labels in the customer profile screen (checkout step 1) to be customized. Also, three new customizable fields have been added to capture additional information such as an additional email address.

  • Customize email headers and footers

Add custom headers and footers to the email notification sent by Spirit. The email notification is configured in the Store tab’s General option, in the ‘ E-mail notification of orders’ section. Both new fields accept the [[order_number]] tag which will display the customer’s order number just like the order subject fields do.

  • Introducing a Rich Text Editor

We are pleased to announce that Spirit now contains a “Rich Text Editor” interface to make it easier to create and edit content. The new editor replaces the simple text editing field and allows content to be created with rich formating similar to a word processor. No HTML knowledge is required to use this new interface. For the HTML user, a simple text editor is also an option. Check out the new interface, We think you will be very happy with it.
